Mathematics is one of the basic courses learned by each student studying in the technical secondary school. However, many students have been terrified by the sight of mathematics and got very low marks for a long time. This finally led to the formation of math learning barriers. Having studied on the students who have the learning barriers, I find the reasons for learning barriers lies in many aspects, but only a small part of the barriers comes from the learners' knowledge, and a large part of the learning barriers comes from learns' non-intelligent factors. Therefore, it will be very important investigate and analyze learners, learning barriers, to explore different teaching countermeasures to overcome different types of learning barriers and finally to help learners eliminate learning barriers. It will not only greatly improve math-teaching quality but also agree with the goal of vocational education and quality education. Through wide investigation and study, the writer of the paper divides those non-intelligent factors into four types according to the manifestation of the learners' math learning barriers. They are: the emotional confusion, the lack of interests, the lack of willpower and the bad learning habits. According to the different types of math learning barriers, the present paper comes up with four corresponding education countermeasures. They are: self-acting countermeasures, self-amusing countermeasures, self-confident countermeasures and self-conscious countermeasures. At the same time, the writer of the paper carried out teaching experiment and contrasting research from Sep.2002 to Jul.2003 and has got notable result. In the end, the writer sums up the initial achievements of the experimental research, which have provided the relevant research with specific experimental references.
