My Doctoral Training To Improve The Quality Of Critical Control Point

Since 1980s, higher education all over the world has entered into a new time when the improvement of education quality has been regarded as the main target as well as the common goal. Being the highest level among the education system, the education of Ph. D candidates is the symbol that represents the whole education situation. Consequently, each country puts great emphasis on the quality of doctoral education. In China, higher education circles are focusing on the development of the Ph. D candidates' creativities nowadays. How to improve the quality of doctoral education has become a serious and urgent task.In this paper, the key-controlling management theory is first introduced into the doctoral education management system in order to examine the methods of developing it. With the fishbone illustration, various elements that affect the training of Ph. D candidates' creativities are analyzed. According to the wooden-bucket theory, the bases on which the key points are chosen are explained. The enrolments, the dissertation, together with the supervisors of Ph. D candidates, are thought of as the key points to improve the quality of doctoral education. Through the analysis about current situation of those three key points thoroughly, the aim to control the key points has become clear, and the practice of them has been explored.The paper also provides a summary about the relationships among those three key points, along with other elements. Besides, the value of further study is paid attention to, because of the difference of subjects, universities, as well as time and space among the key points of doctoral education.
