In modern educational psychology, constructivism is revolutionary. It brings forth a wide-ranging reform in education. This paper, based on the theories of constructivism, aims to establish a new course in the kindergarten music education, which will conform to the characteristics of children, to the regularity pattern of music learning and to the requirements for the talent in the 21st century.Section â…  discusses the present condition of the course in music education in the kindergarten. It mainly deals with the following four aspects: goals, contents, implementation and assessment. It also discusses the development of the international music education and its influence on the music education in China.Section â…¡ studies the theories of constructivism, including its learning theory and its views on the establishment of the curriculum and its enlightenment to music education in the kindergarten.With the guide of the theories of constructivism, section â…¢ studies the establishment of a new pattern in the music education in the kindergarten. It covers the following aspects of the course: goals, contents, implementation and assessment.Finally, the paper, according to constructivism of Scaffolding Instruction, Anchored Instruction and Random Access Instruction, presents three patterns of music teaching in the kindergarten. These patterns of music teaching can be employed to test and verify the effect of the theories of constructivismin the teaching practice.
