Winter outdoor swimming is a branch of swimming sports. It is the sport with the stimulation of coldness as its main body. The temperature of water for swimming is generally lower than 8 centigrade. Winter outdoor swimming has developed for several decades, especially recently, more and more enthusiasts participate in this sport, and then studies on it also became a hotspot of scientific researches. Former researchers have made a great deal of researches on relationship between winter outdoor swimming and diseases and has proved that lasting winter outdoor swimming plays an important role in improving enginery of heart, leaving bronchitis and arthritis, preventing disease of cold. Some researchers have ever studied on IG, IFN and the thymus independent antigen in serum, meanwhile, some of the literatures reported that coldness could change the active quality of mammals' LZM and improved phagocyte's ability. Winter outdoor swimming is a sport mainly depending on stimulation of coldness. There is no report on its connection with LZM. This research probes into the effect of winter outdoor swimming on the changes of the active quality of laboratory rats' LZM and also on their immunities. It involves two laboratory elements, low temperature and exercise. At the same time, the research regards weight of laboratory rat as a sign to find out the influence of dissipating heat quickly.70 Laboratory rats as the research object are divided optionally into 7groups, Ten each group, and have been tested for two moths. The result of the research is obvious. Firstly, get the blood serums of the resting group, the group one hour after winter outdoor swimming and the group 60 days after winter outdoor swimming and drop them into the bacterium liquid of the Micrococcuslysodeikticus and the Staph aureus, after the culture, difference in quantity of the bacterium is remarkable. Secondly, quantity of the leucocytes of the resting group and the group one hour after winter outdoor swimming has great differences. Thirdly, weights of the swimming-lasting group are generally lower than the resting group's which are lower than weights of the group exposing themselves to the low temperature.
