Under the background of nowadays globalization, the international communication is becoming frequent day by day. How to implement education for international understanding in the school is becoming the question that people pay close attention to. As proposed in "the civilization conflict and reconstruction of the world civilization"written by Huntingdon, after the cold war politics varies in different civilization with no precedent examples. So the important basis that group of nations are sorted out is no longer only ideology and political economy, but turn into the culture and civilization relevant to entity of people. "In this new world, region politics is the politics taking nationality as the centre, and the politics of the world is the politics taking civilization as the centre. The culture conflict will replace the fighting of superpower and happen frequently."Though a lot of scholars do not agree to the view of Huntingdon, but the civilized theory of conflict he put forward provided a brand-new visual angle for us to treat the relation between countries, making us realize that it is necessary to carry on the education of international world understanding. If the conflict between civilizations is inevitable, what we should do is not to exaggerate the conflict, but to remove it. And for removing the conflict between the nationalities, education for international understanding is one effectual and feasible way. Japan carry on the education for international understanding early, Ministry of Education of Japan proposed training "world -oriented Japanese "in 1953. After over half a century's development, the education for international understanding the middle and primary schools of Japan has improved greatly and formed its unique operation mode. According to the different practicing emphasis, the education for international understanding in the middle and primary schools of Japan can be divided into three stages on the whole. This thesis intends to put stress on the characteristics different periods after the war in macroscopic term, and come up to launch narrating and analyzing the concrete measures of education for international understanding from the microcosmic view. It attempts to probe into the combination of nationalization and world understanding through the research of education for international understanding.
