It is no doubt an important issue that how we should construct the curriculum system of Chinese ethnic higher education in our country,especially in the western part for its development, for years, the development of ethnic higher education in our country has been in the lack of noticeable features and great advantages of its own, and a great many unsolved problemskeep it in poor development. This, to a large degree, results form theunreasonable construction of courses and lacks of understanding of the functions of the courses. This research is meaningfully theory as well as in practice.The thesis researches on the reform of curriculum system of ethnic highereducation, with emphasis on the position of curriculum in realizing the goals ofeducation. Viewed from the cultural value, constructing the curriculum systemof Chinese ethnic higher education is conducive to the healthy; rapid and balanced development of Chinese ethnic higher education. This thesis consists of seven parts.Part one introduces previous researches; the rationales; contents; implication and research methodologies.Part two relates the research on the values of college curriculum,including the changing of the values of the curriculum and thought on the collision and blend of three different courses.Part three discusses new thought and importance on the value choice of ethnic higher education.Part four discusses the current of the courses of china's ethnic higher education, including achievements and problems.Part five explores the theoretical basis of the reform of ethnic collegecourses including an analysis of theoretical framework, the double quality ofethnic education and multicultural education and the peculiarity of Chinese ethnic higher education.Part six analyzes the realistic foundation of the curriculum system,including policies; practice and experiences of developed capitalist countries in developing ethnic higher education.Part seven dwells on the options of the reform of curriculum ethniccolleges and universities, approached mainly from the specificity of the objectof ethnic higher education, the unique of ethnic higher education environmentand its strategic adjustment and the characteristics that should be possessed by Chinese ethnic higher education.
