With the development and popularization of Internet technology, virtual interaction, a new type of interaction which is different from face-to-face interaction, comes into being in cyberspace. The formation, maintence and patterning of the virtual interaction forms virtual communities based on individual interest and special needs. Patterns and characteristics of virtual interaction have been focuses of sociological circle. Now most researches about virtual interaction in China are mere theoretical discussion, which lacks deepening positive research. Through a positive study about a chosen typical BBS virtual community, the author discusses and validates related researches based on descriptions about patterns and characteristics of virtual interaction, interactive network structure and interactive control mechanisms from macro and micro perspectives. In this article, the mainly used research method is social network analysis along with standard social statistical analysis. In the introduction, the concrete problems and theoretical and practical meanings are introduced. In the literature review, the author summarizes the related research both in China and aboard from two aspects: first, summarizing the related researches about virtual interaction; second, summing up nowadays research methods on studying virtual communities and interaction. These form the logical basis and research hypothesis of the article. In the second part, the object, research method and data processing are discussed thoroughly. In the third part, the subject of BBS virtual community interaction is discussed. In the fourth part, the author describes and analyzes the micro-interaction in BBS virtual community. This part, with ideal type proposed by Max·Webber, begins with a classification of the micro-interaction of the virtual communities into three types, i.e. chain-model, star-model and net-model, followed by an exploration into the characteristics of the three interaction models and concludes with a descriptive analysis of the micro-interaction distribution in BBS virtual community which is chosen by recourse to standard social statistical analysis. In the fifth part, through the measurement of the size, degree distribution, role status distribution, density, cohesion, cliques, etc., the author describes the structural characteristics of BBS virtual community interaction and probes into the control system in BBS community interaction.Based on positive research, the author draws such a conclusion: the subject ofvirtual community interaction is ED, whose independence, freedom, openness and anonymity provides two possibilities for BBS virtual community interaction: sincere communication and performance "on the stage"; ID possesses different role status in BBS virtual community, which is gained through interactive performance of ID in BBS virtual community and should be labeled as "acquired status"; there are various types of micro-interaction in BBS virtual community; the micro-interaction in BBS virtual community does not possess the characteristic of passiveness as some researchers pointed out; the interactive net in virtual community shows a scattered form overall, which to some extent demonstrates that the BBS virtual community interaction "is dynamic, not.so stable and flexible compared with real society". But on the other hand, there is stable and close interactive relationship in BBS virtual community, which essentially represents a dynamic and steady unification; there is a more flexible control system in the interactive relationship of BBS virtual community than that of real community.
