Modern Distance Education Web-based Social Interaction Environment Research

Under the influence of rapid development of modern information technology especially network technique, in modern distance education, the social interaction between teacher and student, student and student has changed a great deal, many network interactive tools have become the main medium, such as BBS(Bulletin Board System), electronic chat room, electronic mail, video conferencing system etc. As one kind of important learning support services, social interaction has important influence to modern distance education, how to promote its validity and improve its quality is an important research subject in modern distance education.The article discusses the social interaction between teacher and student, student and student from the angle of environment, and deals with construction of environment from theory and realized platform through many methods, such as literature research, questionnaire investigation, cases analysis etc. The article firstly analyzes research background and reality meaning of the research subject. Based on what is analyzed above, the article discusses conception of environment of social interaction and necessity of its construction, and discusses inscape and character of environment of social interaction, and feasibility and rationale of its construction. Finally, the article compares and evaluates several kinds of virtue community, and further discusses function, construction rules, constituent layers and interactive strategy of realized platform of environment of social interaction.
