Virtue ethics is a branch of ethics, the study of human moral character and its realization or acquirement of virtue(s). Since 1980s, there has been a trend of the restoration of virtue ethics in Western ethics. The value of virtue ethics and the trend of its revival have inspired us in the virtue-education of the current undergraduates. Based on the introduction of virtue ethics in the history and the contemporary revival of virtue ethics, by the way of combining theoretical discussion with practical investigation, the thesis is dedicated to analyzing the practical problems about undergraduates' virtue-education. The thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter is to explore the main ideas of Chinese and Western virtue ethics and reveal the value and inspiration of the contemporary revival of virtue ethics to virtue-education of the current undergraduates. The second chapter mainly discusses the contents and characteristics of virtue-education as well as the problems about the virtue-education of the current undergraduates. The third chapter looks for solutions to the problems, making conclusions and offering advice which includes three objects, five contents and four countermeasures.
