Example education plays an important role in moral education all the time.It can be known from the vigorous activity of "learning from lei feng" in the 1960s that the power of example education is great.Through example education,China has cultivated a batch of moral figures with the spirit of lei feng.However,the effect of current model education is fading.Although domestic scholars actively put forward suggestions,in reality,we can still find that the moral education effect of model education is not good enough to cultivate virtuous people.Among the theoretical resources,virtue ethics focuses on the virtue quality of the subj ect,which contains abundant relevant theoretical resources.Therefore,this study attempts to conduct an in-depth study on the current problem of poor effect of model education from the perspective of virtue ethics.This study is divided into three parts.In the first part,point out that the effect of example education in moral education is declining.Firstly,the concept and connotation of example education and example education are expounded.Secondly,based on the theory of virtue ethics,this paper points out three major problems in the current example education:learners' low willingness to learn from examples(moral learning);Learners are lack of moral motivation;The learner acts without moral feeling.In the second part,analyze the mode of example education for people which can successfully cultivate virtue first.Then,basing on the actual situation of example education,we will find the reason of the existing problems of example education one by one.It can be seen that the values of learners and examples are not consistent,and the interpersonal emotional space in the current society is squeezed,which makes it difficult to form elevation,resulting in that the current example education is not easy to arouse learners' willingness to learn from examples(moral learning).When people judge someone's ability,they neglect to implement the requirement of personal virtue,which leads to the differentiation between admiration and elevation,and makes it difficult for current example education to drive learners to consciously practice moral actions.When carrying out educational activities,example educators emphasize on the education of behavior norms,which makes the example education lack the attention to the moral feelings of learners when they act,thus resulting in the phenomenon that actions lack moral feelings.In the third part,this paper further proposes the direction for example education.Firstly,the current example education should take peer examples to education to improve learners' learning willingness.Secondly,by building excellent example teams with both ability and morality,educators can combine admiration for ability and admiration for virtue to promote student's actions.Finally,focus on the practical feelings of learners in the process of example education.
