Since entering 21st century, the reform and development of education faces new challenge and opportunity. And tackling the keys of the challenge and opportunity  all embodies a concentrated reflection of how to combine the information technology with course teaching effectively. Because of geographical characteristic , geography in middle schools has unique discipline glamour in training the world citizens  with global consciousness, so it is educated by various countries and paid attention to day by day.  Countries are strengthening geography teaching actively to train talents who can participate in international competitiveness. Nowadays geography teaching in middle schools must depend on the platform of information technology . It is an imperative important task to structure geographical course based on modern information technology. In " digital earth " era, if we give full play to advantage of information technology, both teachers and students can get great  development chance. The teachers' teaching ways will change basically. This thesis is based on practice through the geographical teaching of middle school of  long-term. It states the theoretical foundation , teaching mode , and design of material of how information technology  is used among geographical classrooms. It aims at understanding the current situation of how information technology is used in the geographical classroom and analyses the existing problems. It offers the reference suggestion for geography educational reform of middle schools.
