Curriculum reform is the core problem in the education reform. With the development of society, the new peripheral subjects and comprehensive subjects are increasing formed through the mutual mixture with the traditional subjects. The development of subjects takes on division and integration, so the development of society poses change on the knowledge structure of talents. So the arts integrated curriculum emerges as an important aspect of curriculum reform."The arts integrated curriculum and the development of students' ability of social practice" is one subtask of "Study On The Arts Integrated Curriculum Design and Teaching Modes" , which belongs to "tenth five" emphasized programming task of countrywide education science. It is a researching direction of the curriculum reform, aiming at the ideas and strategies of compulsory education curriculum reform in China, which advocates the comprehensive, harmonious development education; reconstruction of the new curriculum structure; embodies the modern content; advocates constructed learning; forms the correct evaluating notion; accelerates the democratization and adaptability of curriculum; implements the curriculum management of science and enhances the curriculum adaptability to region, school and students. The thesis provides a new perspective and establishes a development system with the importance of developing students' practical ability, which provides theoretical guidance and practical reference for the new curriculum reform.At first, on the base of the analysis of domestic and international arts integrated curriculum and the cultivation of students' practical ability, considering the need of this research, the paper illustrates the motive and theoretical base of the development of arts integrated curriculum and students' practical ability.
