Based on the curriculum theory by American curriculum scholars like Ralph Winfred Tyler, B. S. Bloom, William F. Pinar and others, and taking the murals of Beijing Fahai Temple of the Ming Dynasty as a teaching resource transformed into a curriculum project, this paper discusses how the two curricula of theological text and aesthetic text have been developed, with the former aiming at cultivating college students' comprehension of ideological significance of the murals, thus giving them moral and affective education, while the latter at improving their ability of aesthetic appreciation and re-creation of the visual images of the murals. This course has been put into teaching practice at common higher education institutions as an elective common course of art with a total of 30 teaching hours, followed by a review and study of instruction. The paper consists of the following 5 parts: introduction, curriculum project of the theological text of the murals of Fahai Temple, curriculum project of the aesthetic text of the murals of Fahai Temple, review and study of instruction, and conclusion.
