As is said in the senior mathematics courses standard: mathematics is an important part in the human culture; it is the production of the progress in society, and it is the power which can develop society. By studying mathematics in senior middle school, the students will know about the relationship between mathematics and the development of society, enjoy the value of scientific mathematics; the value of human; enlarge their knowledge; seek the historic track of mathematics, improve their view about mathematics, edified by excellent culture, master the value of beautiful mathematics, meanwhile improve their cultural attainment and sense of creation.In respect of function of mathematics, studying mathematics can help people to develop serious attitude; strong-minded spirit; and it can also cause people to explore bravely; make new wonders. All the above are the essential characters to modern society. This task must be accomplished in mathematics teaching, so this process must train all the students to achieve this aim. That is: in order to make good preparations for the future, the students must master all the knowledge, meanwhile, they should learn the nature of mathematics by absorbing the spirit of it.But in the process of teaching, we often only focus on the teaching unconsciously. In China, we often mix mathematics as a science and as a course together, which makes mathematics course cut off from all the other subjects. What on earth is the problem? What is the solution?
