American psychologist, Professor Howard Gardner, put forward Theory of Multiple Intelligence, which aroused general concern. It becomes the guiding ideology of Chinese educational reform.In his theory, he mentions that our intelligence is multiple and every student, in varying degrees, has eight kinds of intelligence. They are as follows: verbal-linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, musical-rhythmic intelligence,interpersonal intelligence.intrapersonal intelligence, and naturalist intelligence. Students differ from each other as a consequence of different combination among intelligence.Under the guidance of Theory of Multiple Intelligences, I discuss the necessity of multiple intelligence education. I study the chemistry education at senior middle school by making analyses of the theory and conducting surveys.Article is made of five parts, I mainly introduce significance, contents of the theory, present situation in study and the purpose of my study in the first two parts. In part three, I introduce the present situation in education and students at senior middle school. Part four is the practice and discussion of the result. Finally, I find the problems and methods to solve them.Through the whole year of study and survey, The following conclusions have made:Through the teaching practice of the multiple intelligence .1 have improved the students' ways of learning.they have come to show interest in chemistry.Many of them have made great progress in it.As the intelligence of the students has been improved.their learning score has also become satisfactory.In conclusion,While we have a good knowledge of basic structure in chemistry,Making a study of thematic unit is effective for chemistry teaching.At the same time the practice of Theory of Multiple Intelligence is also helpful for teachers to improve the teaching ability.
