School education today has being deeply affected by the traditional intelligence test, which claims man's intelligence can be known only by testing , which shows the unity of intelligence, in another word, it's called centralized education. That is , Students must learn the same curriculum in school and frequent tests are considered as the best way to evaluate a student .Therefore, language and logical reasoning subjects play important parts in school education. However, Howard ?Gardner, a psychologist from Harvard university in the USA challenge the ideas of the traditional intelligence. In his own opinion, intelligence refers to the human ability to solve problems or to make something that is valued in one or more cultures; man's intelligence is multiple, including verbal/linguistic intelligence, logical/mathematical intelligence as well as visual/spatial intelligence, bodily/kinesthetic intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, musical/rhythmic intelligence, naturalist intelligence , existential intelligence. The paper is to give tentative suggestions for the application of multiple intelligence in chemical experiment teaching , which consists of four sections .The first section expounds the necessity and urgency of developing intelligence in chemical experiment teaching. That is, studying the advantages and characteristics of the theory of MI and its application in chemical experiment teaching , we can learn MI, can help teachers to do chemical experiment teaching in different scientific way to improve students synthetic experimental abilities, and better ways can be found to do chemical experiment teaching in high school which will be of great value to chemical experiment teaching. The second section makes an in-depth study on the internal relations between the theory and chemical experiment to learn that seven kinds of intelligence are related closely to the experiment teaching . Guided by the theory , teachers can not only overcome the shortcomings of the behaviourism in traditional experiment teaching, such as teaching in a mechanical way with single aim and students in passive learning ;but also encourage students to solve problems by their several sense organs, pay more attention to students individual characters and lay stress on students' learning actively . The third section makes a complete analysis in the application of thetheory of multiple intelligence in chemical experiment teaching in order to tap every students multiple intelligence in teaching. By means of multiple evaluation , the teacher can decide the most beneficial teaching strategies .Thus , all the students with different levels of intelligence will get the best education as possible. The last section focuses on establishing an optimum experiment teaching mode for teachers to foster the students abilities of self-teaching , creativity and cooperation in study so that they make efficient study and become a successful learner. In all , under the direction of the theory of multiple intelligence , our chemical experiment teaching will be more scientific and efficient to generate students learning interesting , cultivate the students all-round competence and promote the simultaneous development of their comprehensive intelligence.
