Nowadays, most study on Xia Mianzhun's thought and contribution of Chinese language education focus on the Mr. Xia's viewpoint"form is more important for Chinese Language education". But the thesis thinks it is questionable. After collecting and reading a lot of relative materials and on the basis of summing up, analyzing, comparing, synthesizing, the author found that there are some misunderstanding about Xia Mianzhun's thought on Chinese language education, due to unable understand his thought completely and systematically. Thereby, Mr. Xia's viewpoint that"form is more important for Chinese language education"has been isolated from his system. The author is trying to look for integrated frame of Xia Mianzhun's thought on Chinese language education, in order to completely and accurately understand the great forthgoer in the history of Chinese language education.The thesis draws the outline of system of Xia Mianzhun's thought on Chinese language education from educating and teaching aspects respectively.
