The traditional teaching books in our country are centered upon the urban subject matters. However, they neglect the rural subject matters. As a result, the awkwardness of " people at cultural edge " appears.The new-round curriculum reformation proposes that the course structure is divided into nation-, region- and school-level. It encourages schools to promote the research on school-based curriculums and advocates the education of country middle school to serve the development of local social economy.So the author choose two junior high schools, Xishan Village junior high school and Pingdong Village junior high school, at Yao Autonomous County of Bama in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to investigate how to construct and develop the school-based curriculums of local knowledge.The author comes to conclusion in terms of actual conditions of Xishan Village and Pingdong Village. The goal is to solve the problems of continuous development of country students being " people of cultural edge " . It also has certain reference value for the local middle schools to develop their own school-based curriculum of local knowledge.The research mainly adopts field-work method of educational anthropology.
