A Study Of The Flow Of The Socialization Of Children

The floating population is a universal phenomenon during the process of industrialization and the urbanization both in the developed country and the developing country. Since the beginning of 1980 of the last century, with the development of market economy and the advance of industrialization and urbanization, a large -scale of population migration began to appear in our country, a large number of farmers rushed into the city. At the end of 90s the phenomenon of whole family migration increased and thus migrant children gradually came into being. Appearing in the cities with the farmer status, how are these children growing? What kind of people they will be? We should pay attention to these phenomena. In view of the fact that former researches didn't pay enough attention to the migrant children from a comprehensive angle and they only concerned from the angle of their education, the author choose a sociological socialization angle to pay attention to these migrant children. These migrant children are mostly in the early socialization stage which has an enormous influence on a person's life. What are their socialization conditions? Is their socialized condition normal? These are very important things both in their future life and to our society.This thesis mainly describes the socialized condition of the migrant children from the angle of socialization: their behavior characters, life skills, life goals, the social association, self-awareness and so on, to give analysis on their socialization condition of the migrant children with theory of socialization. On the basis of investigation, the author has obtained a conclusion which is not consistent with the former supposition. The conclusion is: the socialization condition of migrant children is more similar to the city children than remarkable difference. But, compared with city children, the migrant children have more weakness in behaviors and characters, and their ability of society association is worse. They frequently feel lonely and their self-awareness is lower. After describing the present socialization situation of the migrant children, the author analyzes negative factors and active factors affecting socialization of the migrant children from three aspects: the family, the compeer group, and the school. Finally, the author attempt to put forward four countermeasures: 1. instigating socialization initiative of the migrant children; 2. taking practical measures to improve their home education condition; 3. using the method of cooperation of school and family to help the socialization of migrant children; 4.strengthening social identity to change migrant children's vulnerable position.
