with the establishment of socialism market system, the society calls for efficient distribution of labors, which will surely lead to reasonable intellectual exchanges. It is well-accepted that Shanghai is an immigrant city. In latter-day years, 75 85 percent of the population of Shanghai comes from the foreign nationality. Among them, a large number of ecdemic teachers with rich teaching experiences were introduced into Shanghai to work. At present, it is a large scale and exhibits an upward trend in elementary and middle schools. Although these teachers have academic degrees, rich teaching experiences and high prestigious in their previous posts, they are confronted with the problems on readjusting their roles as teachers in the new environment because of the difference in regional cultures, dialects, modes of thoughts, behavior and habits. Some of them can successfully qualify for the new work soon, some of them need longer time and even a few of them have to give up the jobs.
