This article consists of six parts, containing about 41,000 words. It discusses deeply about the large number of similarities among thousands of compositions after looking at traditional composition teaching, reading teaching and the survey of senior students' compositions. This article refers to the teacher of compositions and the main body of composition writing, students. It also aims to explore the methods of breaking the restrictions of traditional composition teaching for the purpose of making students produce individualized compositions by developing students' personality.The first part is a brief lead-in. According to the research on the score of the composition of the entrance examination for college, the items of the test and standard of scoring the composition, this part shows students' compositions lacks individuality.The second part is putting forward questions. It leads to questions by pondering over the situation of students' writing and of the composition teaching at the present time.The third part analyzes the reasons. Due to the support of traditional composition teaching, constant consideration of reading teaching and a survey on compositions of high school undergraduates, this part can be able to explore the reasons for the failure of students' finishing their individualized compositions.The fourth part is the main one of the whole article, namely, the intensive exploration of achieving compositions with personalities. It first defines the concept of a individualized composition, that is, a composition with true feelings, individuality and innovations. Then it focuses on the relevant theoretical principles, the present reforming trends of composition teaching and the significance of research on individualized compositions. The emphasis is on achieving individualized compositions.
