The reform on New Century Moral Education Course and its course books pays more attention to the learners' daily life. The basic idea to compile the moral education course books is from the life, in the life and for the life. This shift is based on the reflection upon the deficiency of earlier moral education and goes with the tide of fostering competent civilians in new situations.As to the selection of knowledge, instead of the explanation on concepts and theories, the main contents of the new course books are on the learners' daily life so that the learners can learn and develop in the life. So the books not only embody the principles of life, but also emphasize the timeliness. As to the organization of the contents, the logic of life is the basic way, and the task based pattern is the basic compiling way. The books integrate daily life with the learners' development on physiology, psychology and moral characters, thus directing learners to pursue better life.As to the style, the new books insist on breaking the limitation on the style of the former books and innovating the style consciousness, thus to realize the unity between style and contents, between the style and the goal, henceforth setting up the style in accordance with the new moral ideas. The languages in the books should pay attention to the relationship between ideological contents and language forms so that the functions of the books can be brought into full play in moral education.
