College Counselors Mental Health Status And Related Problems

The objective of this survey is to explore the health state of college instructors' psychology and provides the methods to improve college instructors' psychology quality as well as the safeguard to maintain it. Conclusion based on the study on the health state of college teachers' psychology being taken into account, the health state of college teachers' psychology is not so optimistic. So, are there any special distinctions existing in that of college instructors, a special group of the college teachers? During the investigation, 114 college instructors from 5 universities in Nanjing are gathered to synchronously take questionnaire with the charts of SCL-90, EPQ and the chart designed personally . It is suggested in the study that 4.4% college instructors have comparatively serious psychology problem, and the percent of less serious ones hits to 19.3%. Except that the situation in the aspects of social relationship and physical factor is better than that of the national average level, there lies few obvious differences in other facets. After referring to so many literatures on psychology health of college teachers, I come to the conclusion that the psychology state of college teachers is worrying and it is agreed by a great number of researchers.
