Critical synthesis is also called reversal synthesis. Criticism is an approach as well as a quality of it. It is the indication of fully-developed personality, performance of free consciousness, attack quality and scientific spirit and the symbol of creative acquaintance. Criticism is intended for regulation breakthrough, the challenge to definite theories and the authority. Thus it greatly helps the students to form an attitude towards the future and it is of great importance in training the students' creative spirit and ability. However, traditional history teaching lacks such synthesis courses.So this essay is based on the survey of the students' current synthesis and thus points out the urgency to train the students' critical synthesis. And then it points out the value and necessity for training critical synthesis is one of the basic demands in history teaching. And last it mainly illustrates the practical research of training the students' critical synthesis in history teaching. It also brings out the approaches to carrying out the research in teaching and tells about the important conclusions and enlightenment.The end of this essay calls on proposing and training the students' critical synthesis in modern times to adapt to the need of the society.
