Girls' Jiangyong Women In The World

As a unique kind of written form recording the local dialect of women living in Jiangyong County of Hunan province, female script has been passed down among women in this county and nearby regions. The current paper manages to gain an insight into this unique cultural phenomenon in Jiangyong by integrating literature studies and case studies. The author of the paper finds that: (1) the passing on and study of female script reflects the social status of women living in Jiangyong County; (2) female script is the vehicle of emotions in a written form and works of female script covers the themes of friendship, love, complaint and departure; (3) female script serves as a kind of device for women to seek independence as the other sex and the works of such script includes topics of exclusion of males and anti-patriarchal orders (and masculine superiority of husbands as well); (4) works of female script shows a strong desire for intact and intimate family fabric; (5) works of female script has also mirrored events of significance in the country and in a sense it also includes complaints of national violence. Therefore, judgments of women characters in the literary works of female script can be made based on the sociological analysis of the amount and contents of the works.On the basis of typical case studies the author has found that: (1) female script has been accepted as a kind of cultural inheritance; (2) female script in the contemporary world has been evolved into a kind of resources that can be developed and used; (3) those with a mastery of female script has brought pleasures and joy into others living in Jiangyong County; (4) female script has made the relationships among women more intimate; (5) female script is still a reflection of women's emotions in the contemporary world; (6) those with a mastery of female script will be more possibly respected than those without; (7) besides, in...
