As the society develops forward, information technology was widely used in education, it speeds up the advancement of education modernization greatly. In China, education informationization tide has been on the rise in recent years, and has already made substantial progress in terms of fund investment, platform construction of software and hardware and widespread popularization. Beijing government has paid much emphasis on the work of education informationization and set the goal of realize education informationization in high criteria and good quality during the period of 10th-five-year plan, meanwhile, made the implement policy of base on reality, to accelerate construction in the way of applying, and to promote development by demand. In the past five years, Beijing government paid close attention to the development of education informationization in rural area, attempted to share high quality educational resources between urban area and rural area by the way of strengthening education informationization development in rural area, accordingly, to enhance educational quality in rural area and minimize the gap between urban area and rural area in education. As mentioned above, how to effectively advance the education informationization in Beijing rural area became a pressing research subject that need to be resolved urgently.Under such background, we carried out a survey in some aspects : construction and application of education informationization infrastructure and resources in rural area, the level of information literacy of teachers in rural area, the application state of IT in the schools in rural area, the organization and management of education informationization construction and application, and the impact that education informationization made to education in rural area. The research objects are leaders who take charge of informationization in educational department, the principles, teachers, network administrators and students from 90 schools in ten counties in Beijing. We used both qualitative research method and quantitative research method and obtained large amount of data, then analyzed the data deeply and carefully. The author dug into the research on education informationization construction and application policies in schools in Beijing rural areas, proposed many worthwhile suggestion to the construction and development of education informationization in schools in Beijing rural area.The author suggested after doing such research: (1) During the period of 10th-five-year, Beijing has made great progress in terms of scholastic information infrastructure construction, educational resources construction, teachers'training, and popularized IT education and IT based management through policies and fund investment; (2) The application of IT should become more and more important in education informationization in Beijing rural area, and also Teachers Professional Development based informationization should be emphasized on this basis; (3) Should balance the proportion of fund investment among information infrastructure construction, educational resources construction and teachers staff team building; (4) Should focus more on the training of IT and Educational Technology Competencies for school leaders and teachers; (5) Should strengthen the regulations of management and guarantee measures for education informationization.
