This paper has conducted the research to the Liu Guozheng's thought of Chinese education. Liu Guozheng is contemporary famous Chinese educator, has the important influence in the Chinese educational circles. He has long been engaged in the compilation and the examination work of Chinese teaching material, has the profound research to the Chinese teaching material, also has the profound opinion to the other aspects of Chinese education. The purpose of this paper is summarizes Liu's thought of Chinese education, promulgates its essence, and points out its practical significance and the limitation. The research method is to study the documents, including text analysis and comparative studies.This paper altogether is divided five chapters, has discussed Liu Guozheng's thought of Chinese education from the different aspect. First chapter elaborated core viewpoint of Liu Guozheng' thought of Chinese education, from view of nature of Chinese curriculum, view of Chinese-life, and view of development of Chinese ability three to carry on the elaboration. Second chapter introduced Liu's viewpoint about Chinese teaching material, from arrangement of Chinese teaching material, selection of the model essay, the practice design several aspects has carried on the analysis to it. Third chapter summarized Liu's viewpoint about Chinese teaching, has carried on the discussion from the reading teaching and the writing teaching two aspects, his view of reading teaching already has the theoretical analysis also to have the practice instruction, view of writing teaching includes elaboration to each aspect of write teaching. Fourth chapter summarized the Liu's viewpoint about Chinese teacher, introduced his view about accomplishment of Chinese teacher, and pointed out the way of enhancing teachers' accomplishment. Fifth chapter has analyzed practical significance and the limitation of Liu Guozheng's thought of Chinese education. The innovation place of this paper mainly has: To summary Liu Guozheng' viewpoint about Chinese curriculum, the discussion to viewpoint about Chinese teacher, as well as to practical significance and limited analysis of his thought.
