Currently, in China there appears a phenomenon of "analyze meticulously" in reading teaching . During exposition, the teacher attends every detail on words , sentences , rhetoric and logic of the text. And in many places ,this phenomenon becomes worse day by day .In order to change such a situation , Chinese language education circle brings a reading teaching pattern of "overall sensation ".But whether all texts suit "overall sensation ",the relation between "overall sensation "and "analyze", whether to totally exclude analyze ;and how to grasp the "overall sensation " in students' reading level and in teachers' reading teaching level. All these should be made clear.This paper tries to make some superficial exploration from the point of curriculum, grips the connotation of "overall sensation " correctly to guide the Chinese language teaching practice better.This paper has been divided into three chapters .Chapter one ,explains the theoretical basis of "overall sensation " and its significance in practice .Chapter two ,analyzes the object and suitable texts of "overall sensation " from students' reading angle. Chapter three, probes the relation between "overall sensation "and analyze ,and several "overall sensation " reading teaching pattern from teachers' reading teaching aspect.
