The middle grades schooling is the urgent stage for students to learn how to survive, learn, cooperate, and how to practise.To speed up the construction of the activity curriculum of Chinese subject is not only the need for new curriculum reform, but the era requirement for changing the traditionally singular and passive learning approach, to accommodate the demand of modern education that aims to bring up the future talents with distinct individuality and full creativity and developed physically and mentally.The activity curriculum of Chinese subject plays an unsubstitutable role in developing interest and habit of Chinese learners and in increasing students' knowledge and ability of Chinese subject. To make the Chinese activity curriculum more vivid and vigorous should be an urgent step for current Chinese teaching staff. But the research I made, which is based on lots of investigation has shown that the current reality of Chinese activity curriculum is worrying: teachers, parents and students haven't attached enough importance to it; some schools have provided these kind of curriculums, but a part of them seems specious. This paper studies on the knowledge of Chinese activity curriculum's function, discusses the causes that lead to the existing style, elaborates on some characteristics and teaching approaches of activity curriculum, and finally brings forth its development tendency. Finally, some vivid and feasible ways to enhance the Chinese activity curriculum are suggested in the paper based on the theory and practice.
