Facing a new series of curriculum reform, under HeBei educators of Education and Science Department's effort, New Curriculum Experiment has been carried out all through the whole province. Till now the new teaching material test was adopted for a circle. The research focused on how the edition of"Number and Algebra"should be arranged and what has been changed in the field of concept, teaching mode and study mode.Through the test on the students, teachers, examples and major paper of students in Junior High School, we come to the following conclusions:First, the edition of"Number and Algebra"is satisfactory; second, the study of"Number and Algebra"makes students recognize the meaning of number and develops their sense of numbers and symbols. Students acquire some throughways in study and improve their comprehensive ability in different ways; third, not only the teacher's ability of using textbooks is continuously improving, but also their teaching concept is widely changed.At last, in order to make full use of the new teaching materials, improve our teachings and make students develop harmoniously and sustained, we give some advice and measures.
