Full—time Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard (experimental draft) was issued in 2001 by the Ministry of Education, which broke the original situation that People's Education Press took the control of all the teaching materials. At the same time, government encouraged related organizations and presses to write teaching materials for primary and middle school students. Gradually some different teaching materials appeared , such as the People's Education Press material , Beijing Normal University Version, East China Normal University Version, Jiangsu Province Edition of Science and Technology Press and so on.Teaching material is basic written materials for teaching and learning, playing an important role in the formation of students'knowledge structure and teaching process. It is the main teaching method to make teaching purpose come true and has the core position in the teaching reform. Comparing different versions and making full use of advantages can effectively promote curriculum reform and improve teaching materials'reform. Teachers are conductors of new curriculum and only knowing about different versions and grasping the intention of the teaching material can they truly reach the goal. So it is meaningful for teachers to be familiar with various versions. According to what are mentioned above, the author did some comparatively research on the East China Normal University version and the one of Jiangsu Province Edition of Science and Technology Press after using both of them. My research is divided into three parts, putting forward problems, comparison of the two teaching materials and conclusion. The first part introduces the problems which are put forward, the significance of the study and the comparison of the teaching materials. The second part is the main body of the article. That is , presenting the concept of writing the two versions , system structure, and the contents . Besides, this part compares the same contents and structures in the two versions in detail. Last but not least, Based on comparing the two versions, the author sums up the advantages and disadvantages and guide the teacher in order to help our teachers learn from others'strong points and close the gap...
