The teaching of individualized writing(TOTW) has been justified, in the past Few years ,as a new direction in the reform of composition teaching. As a new approach, it values the special experience and authentic feeling, concentrates on the display of different personalities, creats leisured atmosphere for composition teaching, and encourages an individual and creative style of writing. In a sense, it reflects the new requirements for, and therefore offers solutions to problem of, writing teaching.This thesis on the teaching of individulized writing, can be divided into four chapters: First, it deals with the three-level defination and qualities of the TOIW, autononny, creativity, openness and experience. Second, it explains the objectives of the TOIW, and puts forwards three principles: subjectivity following in proper sequence and making steady progress, and teaching students according to their aptitude. Third, the foremost part, deals with the strategies for implementation, including, a, the disparity of students'writing and the starting-point of the TOIW; b, the teaching scheme for the TOIM; c, varied ariting drills;d,individual writing style;e,evaluation of the TOIM,opening,humanism, pluralism. Last but not least, it gives original points, including: a the error-making area of the TOIM. b, truth, the life of the TOIM; c, how to be true.
