The westem Hunan Miao minority has the rich and unique cultural resources, but as a result of the social modernization advancement influence, the schooling of Miao only can accept the mainstream culture (the Han Nationality culture). Culture-conflict (the mainstream culture and the Miao culture), in addition the cultural ecology, most of the Miao minority students' academic achievement is low.All anthropology research foundation comes from the full and accurate reliable ethnography. For schooling studing, must make the general ethnography of Miao national minority community to Dong Maku of Hunan Huayuan County, about its geographical environment, national origin, language, economy, life style, love and marriage custom and so on.The education of the expected community has an increased process. Since the founding of the nation, under the national vigorously support and the aid, the community education has obtained made great strides. Because the restraint and the limit of the natural environment and the current economic condition as well as the traditional culture, it cannot obtain the fundamental transformation for a long time. Community schooling development insufficient performance in: The layout disperses, the equipment crudely, the teachers strength weak, the bilingual education flaw, the curriculum non-localization, moreover, the national education policy part unbalanced and the place politics intervention also educates to the community has some negative influences.The entire research is the angle of view which "the cultural ecology theory pattern" inspires from Ogbu carries on,emphasized the natural environment, the economy, the culture (narrow sense), politics and so on, each culture ecological factor influences the schooling, the inspection of schooling also must be put in the macroscopic social background. The main conclusion is, the western Hunan Miao national minority's schooling is decided by the various factor—The natural environment and the economy are foundational. The language and representative's national culture is the key. As the state power symptom, the education policy educates the leading role with the place political power.
