The appearance of private higher education is a landscape in thedevelopment of higher education. However, because of differentinfluences, Private institutions don't enjoy a high reputation of honesty inthe society. Some private institutions even pollute the respect ofeducation with illegal means, which not only seriously damages theimage of private institutions but also brings about negative influences onprivate higher education. This paper mainly discusses the shortage ofhonesty of private institutions, its reasons and strategies.The Introduction mainly deals with the research background, themeaning, the current research situation, research content and approachesof this issue.To begin with, Chapter One discusses the essence and characteristicsof honesty. And it further explains the relationship between honesty andprivate institutions and its function and meaning for their development.Finally, it raises the concept and character of the shortage of honesty ofprivate institutions.Chapter Two mainly analyses the shortage of honesty of privateinstitutions in the aspects of enrollment, fee collecting, refunding,textbooks, job-hunting, fulfillment of contracts and loan with sometypical cases. It also explains the damages the shortage of honesty has done to the private institutions, the society and the students.Chapter Three first analyses the history, social structure,environment and legal factors of honesty shortage of private institutions.Then it also analyses the internal root from the guiding ideology,management, evaluation system and staff's quality of private institutions.Chapter Four discusses several approaches about how to enhance theconstruction of social honesty system, and then points out the principlesand ways of honesty construction of private institutions.
