The setting of compulsory and optional subjects in the curriculum criteria of senior high school history and the historical subjects chosen on the basis of the historical viewpoint of civilization, to some degree, demonstrate the fundamental concept of contents choosing which is sparkplugged by the new curriculum. The form of organization of subject contents concerning history at all times and in all over the world that every unit is composed by a certain special topic is presented in several modules. This form has brought about the situation in which the knowledge system is breaking up and the subject contents is becoming more specialized and academic and has also made it difficult to transit from junior high school to senior high school when leaning history. It is wise to organize the contents of compulsory and optional parts in the system of general history and special history so that we can give attention to both the fundamentality and selectivity of senior high school history education. It is also good to the whole improvement of senior high school students' caliber.Though different editions of history schoolbooks are compiled by the curriculum criteria, they have remarkable differences in the arrangements of subject contents, the design of every subject's lessons, the selection, organization and statements of subject knowledge, mainly because of different academic viewpoints, accomplishments and compiling skills of the writers. The change of teaching foundation and teaching resources objectively requires the corresponding reaction in teaching, especially the transition of teaching material concept which chiefly calls for replacing the learning and processing of teaching materials with comparing and researching of it.
