The diversity of history textbook of senior middle school is a inevitable trend of the development. At present ,there are about four editions history textbook, which are pubulished by the Popular Education Publishing house, the Beijing Normal University Publishing house, the People's Publishing Agency, the Elephant Publishing house, the Yuelu Publishing house. The four editions about history books has broken the situation of the only high school history textbook and started the new steps of"an outline multi-book".However, the diversification of history textbook concerns not only variety of the textbook, but also the multi-dimensional development including textbook contents,form and carry body. The diversification of history textbook to meet the needs of senior middle school students'recognition difference, personal study and to match the reality of unbalanced development among regions and also provide the way to education equality.This paper is made up of six chapters. Chapter one is introduction. This chapter introduced the background, relevant researched results, the aim and significance of the diversity of history textbook in senior middle school. Chapter two is intended to discuss the definitions and essences of the diversity of history textbook ,it is necessary to make clear the nature of this diversity since it still remains uncovered up to the present day. Chapter three covers three foundations of the diversity of history textbook, which are practice foundation,teaching foundation and internal factor. Chapter four analyzes the diversity of history textbook of safeguard measures. They Include appraisal,examination and approval,selection and compilation. Chapter five proposes the main trend-history textbook focusing on learning history textbook .Chapter six is a conclusion. It summarizes the systems about the diversity of history textbook. These systems need to be discussed more. And point out the place which need to be improved.
