Along with the development of information technology, teachers' ability is greatly demanded. The professional development becomes the direction and theme of the educational reform of teachers. The promotion in the professional development of teachers, the establishment of the professional teaching force and the improvement of teaching quality all lie in the application ability of teachers in educational technology. The students in teacher university are reserves of teaching force, Thus, the offering of modern educational technology in public education is one of important way to foster the student's ability of educational technology.In previous teaching process, there are some problems, which greatly influence the teaching of public course on educational technology. This thesis is mainly to introduce the scaffolding instruction into the teaching process in order to produce a marked effect on teaching.Literature researches indicate that the scaffolding instruction plays an important role in teaching. The interview with some students also shows that learners can accept scaffolding instruction. This thesis first analyzes the learning characteristics of students, the content of modern educational technology course, the form and the role of scaffolding instruction,and then decides the feasibility that scaffolding instruction is applied to the teaching of modern educational technology public course.It develops the researches from in-class teaching, experiment teaching and network teaching of modern educational technology respectively,each part describes the application of scaffolding instruction in detail and explains it with examples. From the practice of scaffolding instruction being applied to modern educational technology teaching,The scaffolding instruction is suitable for modern educational technology teaching. This thesis confirmed the effectiveness of scaffolding instruction in modern educational technology teaching both theoretically and practically. This result will be further confirmed with the advancement of teaching practice in the future.
