The new curriculum reform emphasizes that teachers should attach importance to the development of students, should pay attention to stimulate students' interest in teaching, promote students engage in teaching actively, and highlight the principal position of students. As a subject with strong practicality and operability, the information technology's classroom participation has a crucial impact on the actual teaching effect and the degree of students' internalization of knowledge. However,as the information technology subject and the cultivation of information literacy have not attracted enough attention, there is still a problem of low participation in the information technology classroom in primary schools. Therefore,it is of great significance to study students'participation in class to improve the teaching effect of information technology class in primary schools.Scaffolding Instruction is a relatively mature teaching mode and it is guided by the constructivism learning theory. It attaches importance to the principal position of students and fully reflects the process of students' active participation in class and independent knowledge construction. This thesis applies Scaffolding Instruction to primary school information technology classroom to explore whether it can improve students'participation in class.Based on the purpose of improving classroom participation, this thesis combed relevant literature, investigated the initial participation level of students from grade 4 to grade 6 in the intern primary school with the method of questionnaire survey.According to the survey conclusion, the application design of Scaffolding Instruction based on the improvement of classroom participation was carried out.In order to verify the effectiveness of the Scaffolding Instruction in improving the participation in primary school information technology classroom, the teaching experiment was carried out in the experimental class and the control class by using different teaching modes as independent variables and quasi-experimental research method.Through the analysis of the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn:Scaffolding Instruction can effectively improve the participation in primary school information technology classroom. Finally,on the basis of this, this thesis puts forward some Suggestions on how to improve classroom participation. This thesis is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly includes the background, purpose and significance of the research, the research contents and methods, and the research status at home and abroad. The second part defines the concept of Scaffolding Instruction and student participation, and introduces the relevant theoretical basis. In the third part, the scale of primary school students' participation in information technology classroom was compiled to investigate the current situation of students' participation in grade four to grade six of the intern primary school, and the survey conclusions and existing problems were obtained. The fourth part is the feasibility analysis of the application of Scaffolding Instruction to the improvement of classroom participation, and the application design of Scaffolding Instruction mode based on the improvement of classroom participation was carried out.The fifth part is the experimental research on using Scaffolding Instruction to improve the participation of information technology classroom in primary school, which mainly includes research purpose, preliminary preparation, research implementation and research result analysis. The sixth part is the summary and the prospect, including the research summary, the insufficiency and the prospect to the future.
