State Education Department announced "Senior High School Biology Course Standard (2003)" , which exceeded original senor high school Biology course requirement. The new standard is also a reflection of our country' s 8th course innovation philosophy, a reflection of the needs coming from society and students' development in new century, a reflection of common ground among international biology education, and a reflection of successful experience and research fruit coming from the course innovation in the past 50 years. What' s more, the new standard is closely connected with the "Compulsory Education Biology Course Standard (2001) " . The connection between the two standards requires teachers to continuously develop the courses and do summary based on the available successful experience from junior high school, so as to work out the practical and workable teaching method which can be widely accepted by teachers. We do find some gaps and misunderstandings of the new course standard like ignoring the connection between senior high school and junior high school. Thus, we do need to establish the communication channel between senior high school teachers and junior high school teachers, correct the understandings of new course standard and workout effective strategy.Students are the key entity during the learning process. The study in high school is only a very small part in their whole life. Thus, it is very important that they are able to learn how to study in different learning period with different requirements. To understand and grasp the connection between different learning periods is valuable for the whole learning process in life.The purpose of my research is as following: to implement the new course standard, to explore and develop the connection between senior high school and junior high school and to find out the strategy to improve senior high school biology education quality; to develop students potential to learn corporation, sharing and achieve comprehensive developments in their knowledge, capability and personality; to push teachers to do the proactive research on the teaching method so as to achieve continuous thinking and working during the whole teaching process. My research adopted the method of survey, observation and comprehensive evaluation which makes sure the good connection between the theory and practice.
