Chinese subject is paid more attention in the field of education because of its character and position. In recent education reforms, the reform of Chinese subject is more concerned, and the core is the debate on its humanism character and tool character. In 2003, the new Chinese Course Standard define it as, Chinese is the most important tool of exchange and an important part of human culture. The unity of humanism character and tool character is the essential feature of Chinese subject. The humanism character is widely accepted as a new Chinese education ideal.This article reflects on humanism education of Chinese teaching in senior middle school, which is basic on the present Chinese teaching situation. Then we will put humanism education into Chinese teaching practice, and make the Chinese teaching come back to the humanism education.This article includes six parts. The first part discusses the connotation of the humanism education, and form measures of value for humanism education of Chinese teaching. The second part discusses on the importance and necessity of humanism education from the view of periodic education characters. The third part reflects on the present situation, especially in Chinese teaching, and discusses on the necessity of humanism education in senior middle school. The forth part discusses that senior middle school is the most suitable period to execute humanism education and Chinese course is the best place to execute it. The fifth part points the wrong tendency of humanism education in Chinese teaching. It is showed in the separation from the language and text. The sixth part fixes on the values of humanism education, against the malpractice of teaching, to form the right approaches and ways and combining the teaching practice to put the humanism education in Chinese teaching into reality. The aim is to peruse the return of humanism education in Chinese teaching through the return of language and text.
