Practicality is the lifeline of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities. Facing the new tasks and claims offered by new situations to Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities, our important and urgent topic ,which is still our requirement and still remains fresh no matter how many times we have discussed it is to study how to improve the practicality of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities. In this paper, based on the fact that we have assimilated the existing achievement of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses and the empirical analysis on the data coded from questionnaires and investigations to ninety-four colleges and universities in Hebei offered by Educational Working Committee of Hebei CPC Committee and Educational Department of Hebei Province in 2004, and the view, which is relatively thought of to be macroscopic; trying to improve the teaching of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses and fulfill our teaching aims; insisting on the unity of the macro and the micro, the writer is to summarize the main problems in Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities in our province and to analyze the causes of these problems one by one. The Implementing of new Curriculum Scheme to Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities provides a new chance for the writer to bring out the corresponding resolutions to improve the practicality of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities, which is also based on"on further strengthening and improving Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities"issued by Ministry of Education and Central Propaganda Department of CPC.The writer points out that strengthening and improving Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities is a necessity to the long-turn development of our Party and nation, an essential requirement to embody the socialistic colleges and universities with Chinese characteristics, and an intrinsic requirement for modern college students'gown-up. The main problems and the cause of the problems existing in Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities are the follow: college students'internal conflict in recognizing these courses; social factors obstacle the exertion of the functions of educational curriculum; outdated and unorganized teaching materials, iterative and sterile contents; various levelness, insufficient amount, unfair treatment in teacher troops and teaching situation; monotony of teaching methodology; weakness of practical teaching; multiple deviation on understanding .the deviation of macro-instruction. The main corresponding resolutions to improve the practicality of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses in colleges and universities of Hebei are the follow: to integrate the supporting measures; to improve the quality of the teaching staff of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses; to centralize excellent teaching wits to edit textbooks and teaching guidance materials; to further strengthen curriculum reform and improve curriculum system; to optimize teaching methods and pursuit multi-operations in teaching; to improve examination system and establish scientific assessment system; to strengthen macro-control to ensure the orderly improvement of Ideological and Political Theoretic Courses.
