Fresh graduates are the most important part of the talent pond and a specialgroup with great potential for an enterprise whose most powerful talisman inlong-term competition is tapping, cultivating and utilizing the graduates to themaximum. Therefore, how to manage the graduates whom an enterprise recruits everyyear becomes the key in the new employee management for the enterprise. In fact, theprocess of new employee management is the process of paying attention to theorganizational socialization of newcomers for an enterprise. From the perspective ofcontent, this paper examines the relevant issues of new employee management aimingat the new hired graduates, which is a quite novel angle to study the current system ofnew employee management in Chinese background.The fresh graduates within the last two years are selected as sample andinvestigated for questionnaire research. This paper investigates the characteristics ofthe newcomers' organizational socialization and the relationship of organizationalsocialization and employees' attitudes including job satisfaction, organizationalcommitment and turnover intention. There are three points discovered in the research.(1) Fresh graduates have lower acceptance of training and future prospects,particularly of their future pay and promotions, but higher acceptance of coworkersupport and understanding of their own job roles and the goals and values (2)Genderand working period have significant effect on the new hired graduates' organizationalsocialization, but educational background and the enterprise nature don't.(3) Thedifferent dimensions of organizational socialization have different forecast capabilityto the expected working attitudes of new employee, but organization socializationoverall can remarkably affect the expected working attitudes.Finally, according to the investigation results, this paper analyzes and discussedthe causes of the characteristics of organizational socialization, and providesimplications for management aiming at fresh graduates in Chinese background.
