As the introduction of time management from western, more and more national psychologists take this issue into their research domain. They regard time management ability is a stable personality trait. In educational psychology, the amount of researches on time management is increasing, focusing on the relationships between time management ability and academic performance, character, achievement motive, etc. But few researches are about the relationship between college students'confidence, self-consistency and time management ability. This research hopes to do some deep research and analysis on this issue.Firstly, collect the information about time management, self-confidence and self- consistency, trying to grasp the theories and assessing method. Come up with the idea of time management of our own.Secondly, according to open questionnaires and discussion, designed College Students'Time Management Disposition Scale. Selected more than two hundred college students for pretest, used factor analysis processing the data, and got 38 items. By using principle factor analysis, four dimensions were identified. They are the sense of time efficacy, the sense of time value, initiative in time using and time management strategy. The result of factor analysis was consistent with our former theoretical ideas. The reliability and validity of this scale are relatively good.Finally, tests were carried out on the college students'of four universities in Shanghai, using College Students'Time Management Disposition Scale, Personal Evaluation Inventory, and Self Consistency and Congruence Scale. After data analysis, we reach the conclusions as follows: (1), There's significant corralation between college students'time management disposition and self-confidence, as well as self-consistency and congruence. Generally speaking, the stronger one's time management ability is, the more confident one would show, and the more inner consistent one would feel. (2), The following factors influence college students'time management disposition: university, grade, major, economic status of one's family, one's feeling of his or her major, leadership on campus, part-time job, boy friend or girl friend. (3), Different groups of college students also show significant difference on self-confidence and self-consistency and congruence. Influencing factors are sex, grade, major, economic status of one's family, feeling about one's major, boy friend or girl friend.
