Present Situation And Countermeasures Of China's Colleges And Universities High Level Of Swimming

The college students,coaches and teachers taking part in university swimming competition 2004 and sports university swimming competition 2004 were inquired to be investigated through the mathods of document materials,statistics analysis and etc.This paper is also comprehensively analysed the present state and put forward the development of corresponding ways.The conclusion is drawn as follows:Higher level of swimming team of universities ha experienced 17 years.The main aim which prevents the development of higher level swimming is the qualities of students;such as they have difficulties in their study,connection cultural education from high school to university,no perfect training facilities,poor administration,shortage of funds and etc.So above worthy problems have been investigated:1.The source of students show their lower level of cultural basis,only 35% finished the subjects of high school.So it proved that the educational connection from high school to college is not close.Because of this it is very hard for them to understand what teachers said in class.Source of students consists of different levels;only 5% students come from high school.Indeed some good swimmers are eager to enter the university for studying but it is not easy for them to get used to the school's education from a long time training.2.When higher level swimmers entered the university,they felt difficult to study,esp,basis knowledge of math,physics,chemistry.Most swimmers began to have their professional training when they were very young.Triaining races occupied most of their physical and time so they had no time and energy for thei education of culture.Through the investigation 26 students can not follow the study pace.Most of swimmers are all undergraduates and post graduates,only 15% pre-college students.Among all these students,28% students find it hard to study.3.Low efficient training,no good fafilities are the problems for them.From the investigation,it shows that 29% has no guarantee for their year's training.Poor training facilities and equipment are almost in every university,each swimming hall has only one pool,no advanced video,no electric equipment,no equipment for recovering training,no power training equipment on land and no medical guarantee systems.I can not express"focus on skills,high quality and more intensity",instead, it shows"less intensity,low quality,no efficiency.So it does not show the advantages of multiple majors,high science and technology of universities that can develop the swimmers'prehensive levels.It seems to us that sports training can not be absorbed in the educational research.4.The coaches of higher level swimming team restrict the development of higher level swimming team in the universities.The high level swimming coach is difficult to absorb the higher level swimmers.Although the research ability is very strong it is hard to make full use of it..In the investigation,it shows that one sports university is arranged 3 teachers to be in charge of research.It is these 3 teachers that can do a lot of work,such as;injures treatment,treatment,recovery,nutrition and make a long term training plan with scientific and technological routine training.5.Administration of aims and rear service gurantee:The shortage of sports funds is the bottle neck which restricts the development of higher level swimming team in the universities.Since it is short of finiance,higher level swimming coaches are difficult to be invited.A coach without a gold medal can hardly develop the gold medal swimmer.It is no doubt that we have double-high level teachers and coaches but top teachers and coaches are rare.At the same time,administrative system inside school is not perfect,the duty is not clear,such as cultural teacher ought to be responsible for teaching and coach bears for training and also administration is not strict,so it makes studying and training quite confused. According to the investigation,some suggestions are put forward as follows;It is a very detailed system for universities to manage the higher level swimming team.though it has appeared a lot of problems in these 17 years,the progress has been made and a lot of problems have been solved.we are happy to notice that higher level swimmers received the higher education in the universities got very good results and these graduates made a great contributions to the cause of the sports and the education.1. Build up the universities'own primary school,middle school,university with a series of training systems,develop the source ofstudents level and develop the reservers.The basis of school sports is mass sports and main purpose of school sports is to develop the whole nations health.School sports is the source of sports and competitive sports.It will do a lot of good for school children in their free time.Through a long term of scientific and technoligical training,students can get full development.foundation in primary school,importantance in the middle school,talents appear in the universities.2. higher level swimming team in the university has developed in different ways.the shortage of funds prevents the students from developing,so the comnination of swimming team with other units is the good way to solve the finianial problems.3. Sports training and teaching which combines with new system is the best way to solve learning,training and administration.Sports universities are a part of higher institution which has its own features.It is a base for developing the better sports talents and also develop the talent swimmers.4. It is the best choice for the professional swimmers to choose the sports theory education Since the new comers'level of education of culture is very low when entering the university,,basic knowledge is not solid and high demand of their own sports,so it makes them difficult to learn the other subjects.I think the good swimmers shall learn their own sports knowledge and they shall adopt the sports theorythey had accumulated through their a long time training.Only a few can make effords to learn English,computer and etc.5. Training with science and technique,research are important Modern swimming with science and technique can not do it alone,without support of sports scientists,combination with other research units,import staffs with good level of science and technique.6. Make good use of coaches with higher level and with ability of improving their swimmers performanceTraining shall come along with science and technique.higher level coach in the swimming training is just like the leader of the one field of education.Main coach is responsible for training and administration of the high level swimming team,improve the level of swimmers and connect with the students of the world universities and makes the best results.
