In recent years, our national private college education experienced a dramatic development. Up to the end of 2009, nationally there were 297 private universities and 318 independent colleges, occupying 1/3 of the total national colleges. The on-campus student numbers reached 5.3874 million and occupied 1/4 of the total national colleges students. Therefore, the private college education could satisfy the diversity needs for people to receive their higher education, and also foster the high technology applied talents for the country to support and advance the efforts for economic and social development.While the number grows rapidly, Chinese non-state higher education institutions face a practical problem of improving effects of teaching, which should be of great importance to the survival and development of higher education institutes and be regarded as the lifeline of those non-state ones. Thus teaching management draws a great attention. The major problems of teaching management systems lie as follow. Its subject shows no obvious function. Students have little participantion. It has no clear orientation, no sufficent financial support or a whole package of evaluation system for teaching management. They focus on seeming controls rather than teaching effects. Those non-state institutions then have done in-depth researches on many aspects, from systems to policies, from faculty to students, and make specific policies on management according to certain target market and major, to take advantage of educational resources.Therefore, this article not only points out the questions, but also provides a solution for solving the existing issues in teaching management through:established scientifically objective teaching models; optimized private college's majors & courses settlements; enhancing the teaching atmosphere; enhancing the teacher's professionalism; cultivating the young-mid aged cadre teachers; improving the private college management; studying to increase the efficiency of private college administrative fund usage in order to provide the solution for the existing problems in teaching management; and lastly, to set up Nanchang Institute of Technology as an example to develop the creative practice in the private college teaching management model...
