During the period of the reform in economic and social structure, the social welfare system of our country is undergoing major reform, which development and transition direction will have a far-reaching impact on each field of society. In the course that the social welfare system improves, a kind folk social forces—non profit organization demonstrates the unique advantages which they are offering the welfare service gradually, it have drawn common attention of society. The research on non-profit organization has become the 'Focus' in academic circles. On the basis of attention on social welfare and non-profit organization, the thesis try to combine the two field to research, it is analyzed that non-profit organization's role and function in the developing process of Japan social welfare, and probed into the situation of our non-profit organization developments in social welfare system of our country. In this study, by four parts about non-profit organization for old people: background, status, case and analysis, a conclusion is made that as development of market economic and transition of social structure, non-profit organization has already embodied the advantage that the welfare supply Pluralism. However at present there are a lot of difficulties for non-profit organization such as original weakness and increased insufficiency which need the efforts of government, society and media to support it out of the difficult situation.Our country is in a period of social transition. The interest demands of public are diversify, the laid-off and unemployment problems are serious, and plenty of poor and marginalized groups are existed with earlier arrival of aging. Under this background, the obsolete traditional social welfare system is obviously difficult to adapt to the needs of society. The traditional social welfare system must be fundamentally reformed, to build welfare system that suits Chinese national conditions, to fully mobilize all resources to participate the field of old people welfare. The innovation of this paper is that the advantages of non-profit organizations are fully played to the area of aged groups' welfare , not only provide welfare to the elderly, but also widen the country's employment channels, playing the role that kills two birds with one stone. This study based on previous research, Dalian family-life homes cited as an example, illustrates the supply conditions of non-profit organizations in China, and tries to offer solutions according to analyzing the constraints of non-profit organizations' development on the basis of cases.This study based on the old people welfare and the relate theory of non-profit organizations , integrating theory with practice ,followed by comparative analysis approach ,according to Japanese advanced experience ,analyzes and demonstrates about non-profit organizations, and deeply discusses the supply of Chinese non-profit organizations in social welfare field.
