Love is an eternal subject in the field of education and the focus of educational practice. However, influenced by the rationalism and other traditional thoughts, people's knowledge of love is limited to the function of love, and love itself is ignored. Actually, the understanding of love as a tool stems from the understanding that human is a tool. And this leads to the confusion in the field of academic research. The confusing use of love, education on love, teachers' love, education love, educational love hinders the development of theoretical research. The negative influence produced by the theoretical confusion on educational practice always exists. From the perspective of ontology, love is the power promoting the combination of the parts. However, love is not just an abstract concept, but exists in different forms such as the desire for love, fraternal love, god's love, etc. The love which bears education significance is the subject in the research of education theory and is not like any of the love mentioned above. It is named as educational love. This study intends to research into educational love and discuses its practical significance.This thesis is divided into five chapters.Chapter One is the introduction, giving a brief account of this study's background, purpose, content, meaning, method, etc. and generally reviews the relevant researches.Chapter Two is the theoretical basis of this study, analyzing the conversion of Marxist epistemology, subjectivity philosophy, Existentialism philosophy and makes theoretical preparations for the study to follow.Chapter Three analyzes various kinds of love and the type of relation embodied in each kind. By combining arguments over the relation between love and education and comparing different types of love, this chapter attempts to orientate educational love.Chapter Four expounds educational love itself, stating its basic components, conditions, attributes from the perspective of ontology, displaying educational love being methodology and capability from perspective of epistemology and explaining educational love being aim and uncertain for human beings from the perspective of value. Chapter Five discusses the influence of educational love on education.Conclusion part summarizes the present research, reflecting on its shortcoming and prospecting for the future study on educational love...
