Lesson plan is the creature of combination of teachers, educational theory and teaching practice. Lesson plan is of great importance in the classroom teaching .It is made according to the features of the teaching objectives and the teacher's own teaching ideas, experiences and teaching styles. It ensures the teachers to improve the teaching quality, and is the tool for teachers to design,perform ,evaluate and reflect teaching activities. Lesson plan is very useful for teaching and the teachers, development. Teachers must prepare lessons carefully, and then write lesson plans. Writing lesson plan can make classroom teaching more scientific and logical. In the process of writing lesson plan, teachers can accumulate experience, and as a result can improve classroom teaching. With the help of the lesson plan, the teachers enter the classroom ,full of confidence. Lesson plan is of great significance and value for the classroom teaching and the teachers, professional development.In the fall of 2004,the curriculum reform of senior middle school began in Shandong province, Guangdong province, Hainan province, Ningxia province. Great changes have taken place in curriculums, books and teaching methods. Teachers must change ideas and teaching methods in order to adapt the curriculum reform. Under the background of the new curriculum reform, the class should be interactive. Teachers should change their roles and guide the students to learn to study by themselves. The reform of the lesson plan is one of the key points of the classroom teaching reform. Before the new curriculum reform, There were a lot of problems in making lesson plans.When teachers prepared lessons, they first thought is how to make it easy for the teachers to give lessons to the students. They seldom thought the conditions of the students. For a long time, it formed a mode that the teachers were the centre of classroom teaching. The teachers emphasized on how to teach in their lesson plans, but scarcely thought of how to learn for the students. They ignored the demands of the society and the full development of the students. and didn't meet the demand of education for all-round development. What's more, the improper evaluating system resulted in the phenomenon of the teachers'copying lesson plans. The format of the lesson plans were changeless for a long time and hindered the development of education. It is necessary to have a reform in the lesson plans.Since the curriculum reform, S county performed a reform in class teaching. The reform of the lesson plan is part of it. In the new lesson plan, teachers emphasize on designing the students activities and guide the students to study actively. The students become the center of the classroom teaching. This thesis studies the reform of the lesson plan through questionnaire, interview, the collection of literature. The study is carried on from two aspects: the change of the lesson plan designation and the reform state of the lesson plan. The lesson plan reform has made achievements. But it also has problems. This study try to analyze the reasons of the problems and give some advice in order to set an example to other schools and promote the process of the curriculum reform.
