Beauvoir Feminist Thought

The problem of women's liberation is always a important issue in modern society. In the book "second sex", Beauvior reveal a topic "Women is the other, not the one" by reviewing women's fate and plight. Then she gives us some reason of the culture and history, which bring about this result. Based on Beauvior's second sex, I try to use philosophy method to analysis Beauvior's feminism idea. This article involves three parts as follow.In Part I, open out the root of Beauvior's feminism idea. Her idea is affected by many philosophist, but mainly by existentialism philosophy. As the author's opinion, Hegel's "spirit phenomenon" is initial idea of Beauvior's feminism idea. Her pattern of "the other-self is properly influenced by Hegel's dialectics of "host-slave". When Beauvior analysis "the other" position of female, her idea is relation to Heidegger's proposition "the true-self state and not true-self state". In her opinion, female exist in a state which is stipulate and close, or they are put in not true-self state. Because of being in not true-self state, female's existence always displays the character of being molded, not freedom and common, and is instead of the daily life or the common people. Jean paul Sartre's theory of "the other—self" is similar to Hegel and Heidegger's . In the other hand, the private relationship of Beauvior and Sartre is special, so Beauvior's philosophy is affected by Sartre without doubt. Especially, Sartre's the understanding of two important words "the other" and "self-deceiving" is significance to the formation of Beauvior's theory.In Part II, the author discusses an important problem of Beauvior's feminism idea: the position of female .The priority of this problem is mainly concerned about women's subject status. Analysis with pure theory, the range of subject status includes following aspects: being-in-itself, being-for-itself, and creative. Female's subject status is activity that as subject, they accept their position, value, effect in the objective world. Beauvior's idea is relation to two important judgments of Sartre "existence in front of Essence" and "existence for other". The author manages out Beauvior's logic train of this problem. First, contrast several pair of concept to demonstrate the situation of female's existence. Then display the course how women become "the other". Finally, point out the method to change "the other" to "itself.In Part III, discuss how Beauvior's idea affects the west and china female. Development of the west female doctrine has experienced three theory stages: The main target of first stages is pursuing equal political right with male. The tone of second stage is remove the difference of amphiprotic. At the third stage, attach importance to the examination to female authority and development, and exceed the difference of men and women. Especially, take more attention to extremely important problem and the solution of female problem. The author comments the situation of female doctrine in west by the both viewpoints of Sipiwake who is the represent person of Third World female doctrine and UK-US female doctrine. Secondly, Beauvior's female doctrine is distinctive in China. Difficult position of Chinese female is special in world female doctrine. We can perceive this particularity by the vision of Kelisitewa and Sipiwake's. Therefore, the entrance and acceptance of Beauvior's idea is special in china.While the problem of female doctrine deeply research, it also face a question how to advanced itself and step off. New women doctrine probably pointed out a feasible road. It inherits and develops the Beauvior's idea. In all around, the female doctrine major objective ought to strive for harmonious development of men and women. At last, I point out the road to realize female's ultimate liberation: building up the balance mechanism of society amphiprotic; changing the tradition structure of amphiprotic position; making the best development environment for female which is no longer affected by sex.
