Attitude has been a central concept in social psychology throughout its history. In the past 20 years, psychologists took more and more attention on automatic activation of attitude and invested a great deal of techniques to assess implicit attitude. This article the researcher used the implicit association test (IAT) and self-reports to explore the impossible moderators of the relationship between implicit and explicit assessment result.In the part of theory analysis, author analysis the process of implicit attitude formation, the techniques of assessing attitude, and the impossible moderators of the relationship between implicit and explicit assessment.The part of experiment includes two studies. The first author wanted to investigate Attitude ABC Theory whether moderates the relationship between implicit and explicit assessment. The study demonstrated that the consistency may one influence factor for the relationship between implicit and explicit assessment. Then in the second experiment researcher explored the properties of explicit assessment ("how the questions shape the answers in the self-report"). As result can tell, Self-reports of attitudes are strongly influenced by features of the research instrument, such as question format.
